Are you a Science Club Leader - Tell us about your Science Club!
Mood:  cool

Are you a Science Club Leader or are you considering starting a Science Club?  Let's hear your story.  As for myself, I started a Sscience Club because because my neibor, out PTA president pulled her car up to me one morning and said"  We are starting clubs at school, what club do you want to lead?"  "Umm.  Science Club?" I responded.  Those three words began a great journey for me that made a great difference in our school, for my kids and for myself.   I learned a lot along the way.  I learned that Science Club is not Science Class.  I learned that it is more about fun, than about teaching theory and I leaned that kids love science that is hands on and let's them experiment.

There were challenges.  Finding time in my busy schedule.  Spending time preparing for projects that were flops (though often, what I considered a flop, the kids still thought was great.)  And of course trying to make cool exciting projects without breaking my budget.

I created this website to help you all get started like I did, and I am sure you have just as many questions and stories as I do.

So if you are a Science Club leader, volunteer or are thinking of starting a Science Club, please use this space to ask questions or tell us your story.  Click on Post Comment below to enter a post.
